Edward Coe graduated from WWU in 2011 and now works in the technology industry at Microsoft in the role of Americas Future Cycle Lead - Surface.
Edward's advice to current students: "It is normal to leave university and not know exactly what your first role will look like - don't be afraid to chase opportunity! When I graduated from WWU, I was certain that I would fall into Financial Advising, and 13 years later I have had experiences in Data Analysis, Supply Chain, New Store Openings, Marketing, Planning, and Category Management. At the end of the day, every experience sets you up for the next."
Fun Facts about Edward: "Before attending Western, I spent my childhood on Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands. During middle school, our regular trips to Bellingham included ice hockey sessions at the sportsplex (Go Kraken!). As a passionate snowboarder, I consider Mt. Baker my home mountain. However, in recent years, I’ve transitioned to skiing, which was a smooth switch thanks to my skating background. Don’t worry, though—I still exclusively board when I’m at Baker. After graduating, I felt compelled to reconnect with Western to lend a helping hand to recent graduates who might be unsure about their next steps or how to begin their journey.
